Digital Government

An act to provide for Digital Government through the use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) across the whole of Government digital services, digital infrastructure, digital skills and for other related Digital Government purposes. 

The Republic of Kiribati (hereinafter the Recipient) will implement the Kiribati Digital Government Project (the Project), with the involvement of the Ministry of Information, Communication, Transport and Tourism Development (MICTTD) and other government ministries/agencies/units on Project implementation as may be necessary. The International Development Association (hereinafter the Association) has agreed to provide financing for the Project.

The Kiribati Digital Government Project’s development objective is to build the foundations and strengthen the Government of Kiribati’s technical and institutional capacity for digital public service delivery. The proposed Project will support key focus areas outlined in Kiribati’s Digital Government Master Plan (2021), notably on governance, technical infrastructure for digital government, and e-Government applications. The project will:
